Page Guidelines
From Internetworkpro
If you wish to contribute to the articles found here at InternetworkPro first of all we would like to thank you for helping making this site better. With your help we can make this one of the best network reference sites.
We ask that you follow some simple guidelines to help maintain the unity of the site and provide the best possible content.
Contents |
[edit] Content
We ask that all content is original work. Please do not copy and paste an article off of Wikipedia or any other site including Cisco.com.
We want to provide more in depth and more technical articles that touch on subjects not found elsewhere. Although in the topic of networking we know this is impossible try to find something to add over other sources. Sample con figs, packet dumps of protocols, and otherwise not found information are good ways to differentiate us from the others.
Also original content like our Tutorials section or Scripts help out a lot.
Most of all have fun writing the content for this site. Your enjoyment will show in your work!
[edit] Templates
We have added some templates to help you out. Please make good use of these templates.
[edit] Unsupported
Add{{unsupported}} to the top of your page to indicate that the information in your article is officially unsupported by either the vendor or any other source.
Sample:
[edit] Architectural
Add{{architectural}} to the top of your page to indicate that the information in your article documents the architecture of a product.
Sample:
[edit] Incomplete
Add{{InProgress}} to the top of your page if the content is not yet finished. This is to let the reader know that the page is not completed and also promotes others to help
Sample:
[edit] Roadmap
Add{{roadmap}} to the top of your page or section if the subject matter is a hardware/software roadmap or a standard that has not yet been ratified (for example, 802.3at).
Sample:
[edit] CSS
To make a pretty table add class="wikitable" to the first line of your table:
Example:
{| class="wikitable"
! Header 1 !! Header 2
|-
| Cell 1 || Cell 2
|-
| Cell 3 || Cell 4
|}
Will produce:
| Header 1 | Header 2 |
|---|---|
| Cell 1 | Cell 2 |
| Cell 3 | Cell 4 |
